At Transfer Oil, to meet customer needs, the R&D Department works closely with the Commercial Department. Our integrated approach encompasses extensive R&D initiatives, leveraging advanced technologies to create products that meet the highest performance and sustainability standards. Our comprehensive product range is the result of continuous and focused research and addresses the critical needs of various markets, offering superior solutions for hydraulic and fluid power transmission, water blasting, water jetting, and alternative fuels, among others.

Expertise and technology combined
 

Transfer Oil laboratory and R&D department are equipped with state of the art test benches and customized machinery that are able to overstress the hose, simulating its behavior in demanding applications under different temperatures, pressures, and other conditions. The enlarged and renewed laboratory is made up of 3 burst test benches (up to 10.000 bar/145,000 psi), 3 impulse test benches (up to 3.600 bar/52,000 psi), a volumetric expansion bench (up to 1.000 bar /14,500 psi), a permeability test machine for gas handling hoses, and an abrasion check tester.

Quality is at the heart of Transfer Oil philosophy to provide the best products and services to the market. From rigorous inspections and tests of raw materials on arrival, to verification, testing and approval of every stage in the product manufacturing process, to the final approval and release of finished products, more than 70 quality checks ensure every Transfer Oil hose meets the highest standards.
From dimensional laser and infrared analysis of raw materials to pressure testing and permeation testing of the final product, every step of the process is under the close scrutiny and control of the Quality Department.

Recognized standards and continuous improvement
 

Transfer Oil has a long history of being at the forefront of Quality Assurance, being one of the first companies in our industry to achieve ISO 9001 certification in 1993. Since then, we have continuously enhanced our quality systems, integrating advanced computerized and paperless methods alongside sophisticated analytical techniques.
The company also holds internationally recognized certifications and approvals from DNV (Det Norske Veritas), ABS (American Bureau of Shipping), MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration), and CSA (Canadian Standards Association).
Beyond Quality, Transfer Oil has also heavily invested in, and achieved, ISO 14001 certification for its Environmental Management System, in addition to ISO 45001 certification for its Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

UHP Pressure test certificate
 

Quality Assurance inspects the hose assembly before it undergoes proof testing on the assembly validation test rig. Pressure and seal testing of HELIX® hoses is performed at 100%. Upon successful completion of testing, Quality Assurance issues a certificate of conformity, which is attached to each hose assembly.

To perform proof pressure testing on all HELIX® hose assemblies, Transfer Oil has installed a 6.000 bar (87,000 psi) proof pressure test stand, capable of pressurizing assembled hoses with a programmable pressure curve.
